Crete The Hanover-based travel and tourism company asked its customers to evaluate services at Greek tourism destinations and found that on a scale of 0 to 10, quality of hotels got an 8.70 with Kos (8.84), Rhodes (8.73) and Crete (8.70) performing better against 2015. Rhodes marked the best overall improvement compared to a score of 8.50 in 2015. Overall performance was better in customer service, hotel facilities and catering services, while room quality, environmental care and cultural infrastructure were seen as lagging. ”We are particularly pleased with the fact that the overall quality indicators in Greece, have further improved compared to a year before, and always support our partners in this effort,’’ said Jenssen. The report also found that quality is a determining factor when choosing a hotel and destination; while compared to other European destinations, Greek destinations were among those with the highest points in the ”hospitality” category. Meanwhile, the best months to visit Greece for German travelers are September, followed by August and June. The majority of vacationers belongs to the higher education/income bracket, one-third is aged 40-49, with couples making up 50 percent and families at 40 percent of all travelers.
