The four-times weekly flight to Nairobi, operated by a Boeing 737-800, is Oman Air’s first service to Kenya. The flight will open up easy access to Oman Air’s wide range of destinations to customers from Kenya, and will help strengthen political, economic and social ties between Oman and Kenya. There will be convenient connections from Nairobi to other destinations in Africa in cooperation with Kenyan Airways. In Muscat guests can avail convenient connections offered by Oman Air to destinations in the Far East, Indian Subcontinent, Europe and GCC countries. “The launch of this route is a significant milestone for Oman Air and is in direct response to customer demand,” the Deputy CEO and Chief Commercial Officer of Oman Air, Abdulrahman Al Busaidy, said during a ceremony at Muscat International Airport to celebrate the inaugural flight. “We are confident that this latest expansion by Oman Air will help develop growing relations between both countries and also increase tourism and VFR traffic between our two nations,” he added.
