“Navarino Challenge”, the award-winning sports tourism event that promotes fair play, has announced the addition of more activities to its program this year.

The event, which this year will take place October 13-15 once again at Messinia and Costa Navarino in the Peloponnese, is including tennis on its program of events. With the support of the Navarino Racquet Academy, amateur and medium level athletes will have the opportunity to experience Tennis Cross Training, a workout program that combines muscular empowerment and cardio respiratory toning, using one’s body weight but also actual weights – depending on the trainee’s level – accompanied by music.

Also, this year’s “Navarino Challenge” will include a Padel Family Competition in its activities program. Supported by the Panellinios Agora Games, the Padel Family Competition is ideal for the entire family.

Moreover, once again the event will host the water activities of baby swimming (for babies and children from 3 months to 3 years old) and aqua aerobics. The activities will run under the support of the Swim Academy.

“With the help of the Swim Academy and my close colleague, Silver Olympic Medalist and World Champion in open water swimming Spyros Gianniotis, for the second year we will be presenting activities that give parents and their children great joy, such as baby swimming for children up to three years old but also aqua aerobics, which took place for the first time last year and proved to be extremely successful,” said Nikos Gemelos, the Federal Technical Coach of Swimming and Swim Academy representative.

Cooperating with the Navarino challenge event over the past years, Gemelos said that he has observed that more and more people are embracing the sport of open water swimming.

“I feel even more proud to be able, along with my team, to offer the necessary safety that is needed for these races, while leaving to the participants a great experience,” he said.

The “Navarino Challenge” will take place for another year with the support of Costa Navarino and The Westin Resort Costa Navarino as well as the Municipalities of Pylos-Nestor and Trifilia.

More information regarding the opening of the registrations, the activities schedule and the privileged hospitality packages will be announced in the following weeks.

The event’s official sponsor is “Vikos” natural mineral water and official supporter is Wyndham Grand Athens.
