Event News Naxos to Host ‘Cyclades Trail Cup’ Sports Tourism Workshop for Hoteliers by GTP editing team 20 April 2017 written by GTP editing team 20 April 2017 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 15 The organizers of the Cyclades Trail Cup event and the Greek Travel Pages (GTP) are inviting Naxos-based hoteliers to attend a workshop on Monday, April 24, and gain insight on how sports tourism can help extend the season on the Greek islands. Naxos town The Cyclades Trail Cup is a sports event of trail running races that this year will kick off on Naxos on April 30 with the Naxos Trail Race and continue on to Amorgos, Syros, Andros, Donousa and Tinos. The aim of all races is to promote the locations in which they are held and develop sports tourism as a whole. Entitled “Cyclades Trail Cup: Management, online communication and Marketing for upgrading and increasing bookings”, the workshop will include tips on online hotel marketing and ways to increase bookings during the low season. The event will also include insight on alternative sports tourism and the trail running movement in Greece. The workshop will take place at the Conference Center of the Cultural Center of the Ursulins School in Naxos Town at 7pm. Speeches and presentations will be given by Michalis Manios and Christina Kouri from the Naxos Trail Race, Robert Karalis from the Cyclades Trail Cup, Charis Brousalian from the Greek Travel Pages (GTP), Sophia Mantzourani from Aqua Vista Hotels, Gabriel Efstathiou from Zoottle and Ivy Adamakopoulou from the Anavasi maps. The workshop will be held under the auspices of the Naxos Hoteliers Association. Entrance is free. The Greek Travel Pages (GTP) is a Golden Media Sponsor of the Cyclades Trail Cup 2017.
