The UK prestigious enterprise awards are granted to those who demonstrate the highest levels of excellence within their field. Hypnos Contract Beds was awarded in recognition of its substantial growth and commercial success in international business, as well as driving strong year-on-year growth in overseas sales and export activity, an announcement said. “It’s amazing to think how far we’ve come. Just five years ago our International sales were £500,000 and this year they will be over £5 million, which is nine percent of our total sales,” said James Keen, Managing Director of Hypnos Contract Beds. “We hope to see around £20 million worth of Hypnos’ products being sold globally, which would account for 20 percent of our total sales, by 2021,” he added. The company has also won the Corporate Social Responsibility Award by the RAF Benevolent Fund, for its generous donation of supremely comfortable beds to the Princess Marina House, the charity’s respite and care center in West Sussex. According to the announcement, Hypnos Contract Beds is the only UK bed manufacturer to be awarded carbon neutral status. The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are awarded to UK businesses for their outstanding achievements in the categories of Innovation, International Trade, Sustainable Development and Promoting Opportunity through Social Mobility. The winners will receive their awards during a Royal reception to be hosted by Her Majesty, The Queen at the Buckingham Palace. A multiple award-winner and a Royal Warrant holder since 1929, Hypnos Contract Beds currently supplies ethically made and sustainable beds and mattresses to some of the world’s finest homes, palaces and hotels. The company owns 20 manufacturing licensees, while its luxury products are available in over 120 retail stores around the world.
