Event News ‘Kea Run 2017’ to Support Tourism and Local Community by GTP editing team 28 April 2017 written by GTP editing team 28 April 2017 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 21 The island of Kea in the Cyclades, on May 14 will host the Kea Run 2017, which is organized for the third consecutive year by the Municipality of Kea, the Kea Municipal Utilities Company and the Region of South Aegean. The event will include three races, which will start and end at the port of Korissia: The 10 km and 5 km races will commence at 10 am, while the 600 m route for children will begin at noon. The aim of the event is to promote Kea as a tourism destination, while all proceeds will be donated to support the island’s health center. All runners who reach the finish line will be awarded with a medal. The first three winners of each category (men, women, girls and boys) will win the prizes of the Kea Run 2017, donated by the Paouris family, in memory of late athlete Andreas Paouris.
