Greek Hotel Federation Head Yiannis Retsos Shares Insight with TEI Tourism Graduates

Yiannis Retsos, the president of the Hellenic Hotel Federation (HHF), gave a lecture during a special event held at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens (TEI) last week, offering his insight from years of hands-on experience to students of the post-graduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Tourism program.

Retsos, who recently announced plans to run in the upcoming elections for the presidency of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) spoke on the issue of “Strategic Hotel Design and Human Resource Management”, a course taught by Peloponnese Tourism Organization chairman, professor Konstantinos Marinakos.

As Managing Director and key shareholder in Electra Hotels & Resorts, Retsos presented ways for tourism businesses to grow dynamically in a globalized economy and methods towards achieving a competitive advantage on the market.

Held for a second year in collaboration with the University of the Aegean and the National Center of Social Research (EKKE), the post-graduate program lecture was attended by professors Panayiotis Kaldis, Pericles Lytras, Paris Tsartas and Dimitrios Laloumis.
