‘YES to Sea Tourism Forum’ to Focus on Cruise Travel and Yachting

Executives and decision makers from the shipping and tourism industry will exchange views on a series of topics during the “YES to Sea Tourism Forum”, scheduled to take place on May 24 at the Megaron-Athens Concert Hall. The event will be held during the two-day industry event 4th Posidonia Sea Tourism Forum.

The “YES to Sea Tourism Forum” will bring together renowned speakers who will be addressing key issues on cruise travel and yachting, aiming to highlight the opportunities offered and the skills required to succeed in those fields.

Shipping Minister Panagiotis Kourouplis and Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura will open the forum and a discussion will follow with executives of the travel industry, including Diogenis Venetopoulos, Partner and Vice President Sales, Variety Cruises; Emmanuel Vordonis, President of Poseidonion Grand Hotel; Dimitris Koutsolioutsos, CEO and Founder of INSTAYACHT – Farmers Republic; Chrissie Palassis, Partner, CTM Hellas; and Maria Theofanopoulou, Publisher, Greek Travel Pages.

The forum will include a live debate with Ukko Metsola, Vice President of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd and young executives.

Four networking events will also take place, which will focus on shipping, startups and innovation and marine insurance, among other issues.

Organized by YES Forum (Young Executives Shipping Forum) the “YES to Sea Tourism Forum” will be held under the auspices of the ministries of Shipping, Education and Tourism, the Greek National Tourism Organization, and of Greek Universities.
