Minoan Lines Amends May 16-17 Itineraries Due to 48-hour Strike

Minoan Lines‘ itineraries on the domestic and Adriatic lines will be amended on May 16 and 17, due to a 48-hour strike in Greece, called by the Panhellenic Seamen’s Association (PNO), the ferry company announced.

Domestic Line

More specifically, on Tuesday, May 16 Minoan Lines’ sailings on the Heraklion – Piraeus route will be cancelled.

On Wednesday, May 17 vessels H/S/F Knossos Palace and H/S/F Festos Palace will depart from the ports of Heraklion and Piraeus, as follows:

HERAKLION – PIRAEUS , H/S/F FESTOS PALACE
Departure from the port of Heraklion when departure is permitted.

PIRAEUS – HERAKLION, H/S/F KNOSSOS PALACE
Departure from the port Piraeus when departure is permitted.

Adriatic Line

On the Adriatic Line Minoan Lines’ itineraries will be amended as follows:

Α. DEPARTURES FROM GREECE – ITALY
Minoan Lines’ sailings on Tuesday 16.05.2017 on the Patras – Igoumenitsa – Ancona route will be suspended.

WEDNESDAY 17.05.2017, PATRAS – IGOUMENITSA – ANCONA (CRUISE EUROPA)
Extraordinary departure from the port of Patras at 23:59 to the port of Ancona (via Igoumenitsa – Departure from Igoumenitsa on Thursday 18.05.2017, at 06:00).

FRIDAY 19.05.2017, IGOUMENITSA – ANCONA (CRUISE EUROPA)
Departure from the port of Igoumenitsa at 23:00 to the port of Ancona.
Due to the delay Cruise Europa will skip the call in Patras.

Β. DEPARTURES FROM ITALY – GREECE
Minoan Lines’ sailings on the Venice – Ancona – Igoumenitsa – Patras route will be performed according to the following schedule:

WEDNESDAY 17.05.2017, VENICE – ANCONA – IGOUMENITSA – PATRAS (CRUISE OLYMPIA)
Cruise Olympia will sail from Venice as per standard schedule at 01:00 (local time), from Ancona at 14:00 (local time) and will reach Patras via Igoumenitsa.

THURSDAY 18.05.2017, ANCONA – IGOUMENITSA – PATRAS (CRUISE EUROPA)
Cruise Europa will sail from Ancona at 23:59 to reach Igoumenitsa on Friday, 19.05.2017 at 16:00.
Due to the delay Cruise Europa will skip the call in Patras.

On Saturday, May 20 sailings on the Adriatic route will be performed as per standard schedule.
