NJV Athens Plaza, located in the heart of Athens, recently received the “We do local” certification, after successfully adopting the initiative’s proposed standards to better promote local hospitality and culture.

According to an announcement, the hotel was certified for supporting local producers and the economy and for actively contributing to the protection of the environment and the promotion of sustainable development. The certification is also indicative of the hotel’s efforts to meet the expectations of its guests and partners.

“We do local” is a project first launched by local entrepreneurs on the island of Crete, in cooperation with the certification control body Cosmocert and Local Food Experts. The initiative has expanded to other locations in Greece and today counts 28 certified members. In Athens it is promoted in collaboration with the Athens-Attica & Argosaronic Hotel Association.
