‘YES to Sea Tourism Forum’ Opens in Athens on Wednesday

Young and senior executives of the tourism and shipping industry on Wednesday, May 24, will have the opportunity to meet and exchange views and ideas on the industry’s potential and future growth, during the “YES to Sea Tourism Forum” at the Megaron – Athens Concert Hall.

Organized within the framework of the International Conference and Exhibition “Ρosidonia Sea Tourism Forum”, the “YES to Sea Forum” will begin at 1 pm with the opening speeches of Shipping Minister Panagiotis Kourouplis and Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura, among other government officials and tourism professionals.

A discussion on the prospects of sea tourism will follow with executives of the travel industry, including Diogenis Venetopoulos, Partner and Vice President Sales, Variety Cruises; Emmanuel Vordonis, President of Poseidonion Grand Hotel; Dimitris Koutsolioutsos, CEO and Founder of INSTAYACHT – Farmers Republic; Chrissie Palassis, Partner, CTM Hellas; and Maria Theofanopoulou, Publisher, Greek Travel Pages.

The forum will include a live debate with Ukko Metsola, Vice President of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd and young executives.

Four networking events will take place between 6-7 pm, which will focus on shipping, marine insurance and classification societies, startups and innovation.

Organized by YES Forum (Young Executives Shipping Forum) the “YES to Sea Tourism Forum” will be held under the auspices of the ministries of Shipping, Education and Tourism, the Greek National Tourism Organization, and of Greek Universities.
