As a result of the route cancellations, metro line 3 (blue line) will operate only until Doukisis Plakendias station and there will be no Proastiakos suburban railway or metro services to Athens International Airport. The rail workers are protesting against the state of rail infrastructure as well as the conditions that drivers are required to work under.
