UPDATE: Metro and Suburban Railway to Run Normally,
Strike Announced for June 1

Greek railway operator Trainose has cancelled all routes of intercity trains and of the Proastiakos suburban railway from Tuesday, May 30, until Thursday, June 1, due to rolling walkouts announced by the PEPE union that represents rail workers.

As a result of the route cancellations, metro line 3 (blue line) will operate only until Doukisis Plakendias station and there will be no Proastiakos suburban railway or metro services to Athens International Airport.

The rail workers are protesting against the state of rail infrastructure as well as the conditions that drivers are required to work under.
