The water buses of Thessaloniki, known as “Karavakia” (small boats), will connect the Northern Greek city with the nearby beaches this summer.

The “Karavakia” will run daily with departures from Thessaloniki port and the White Tower to the port of Neous Epivates with an intermediate stop in Peraia. The boats Agios Giorgios and Konstantis will be departing from the above stops 10 times a day, seven days per week.

The first boat of the fleet — Agios Georgios — will begin its first route through the blue waters of the Thermaikos on Friday, June 2.

Music and refreshing beverages are available during the short trip to the beaches, many of which have been honored with the Blue Flag eco-label.

The ticket price per route is 3,5 euros. The water bus service runs from morning until night.
