The economic relations between Greece and the United States are expected to strengthen during the Greek Investment Road Show in the USA from June 18 to June 22. The road show is an initiative of the Athens Stock Exchange and American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), which have joined forces since 2012 in order to present and promote to the US Greece’s investment and business opportunities and boost economic relations between the two countries.

The road show to the US, with the participation of more than 30 listed and non-listed participating companies, entails a business mission to Washington DC (June 18-20) and the 6th Greek Investment Forum in New York (June 21-22).

This year, Greek Economy and Development Minister Dimitris Papadimitriou and US Ambassador to Greece, Geoffrey Pyatt, will lead the delegation to the US with Athens Exchange CEO Socrates Lazaridis and AmCham Greece President Simos Anastasopoulos, highlighting the strong interest of both governments in encouraging economic relations, enforcing business between Greece and the US and strengthening the results of the multi-business delegation travelling to the US for this purpose.

In Washington, the business mission members will have the opportunity to meet with representatives of the political and economic communities, entrepreneurs and investors, as well as representatives of institutions such as US Chamber of Commerce, Council on Competitiveness, etc. in order to present investment projects and the perspectives of the Greek economy.

In New York, the major structural changes and reforms that have taken place in Greece recently, financial data, as well as specific business projects that may be of interest to American investors and fund representatives, will be presented during the 6th Investment Forum. Furthermore, B2B meetings will be held between representatives from Greek listed companies and US investing firms.
