The 107-suite Wyndham Loutraki Poseidon and the 196-room Ramada Loutraki Poseidon resorts opened their doors to the public last week with a dazzling opening party, fine food and lots of champagne. The brands Wyndham and Ramada are part of the Wyndham Hotel Group, a hotel industry giant with a presence of more than 8,000 hotels in 79 countries.

Elintour SA  in collaboration with hotel management and development consultants Zeus International and Wyndham Hotel Group invested in the extensive renovation of the two Loutraki hotels, which stand in the place of the historic Poseidon Resort Hotel that was constructed in 1966. Loutraki is about an hour drive from Athens.

The launch comes after a successful opening of the five-star Wyndham Grand Athens  in March.

Besides offering the latest in amenities, the two new Loutraki hotels – near the major tourist destinations of Nafplio, Epidavros and Delphi – offer nine meeting rooms which can cater to some 650 people and an outdoor amphitheater on the beach that can accommodate up to 900 people, making it an ideal destination for events.

The hotels also hosts four indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, gym and sports facilities including tennis courts, basketball courts, mini golf grounds, a children’s playground and a wide variety of water sports for guests of all ages.

“Wyndham Hotel Group has a great potential for growth in Greece, and we are pleased to welcome the Wyndham and Ramada brands to this exciting market,” said Edwin Broers, VP Wyndham Hotel Group.

“The opening of the Wyndham Loutraki Poseidon Resort and the Ramada Loutraki Poseidon Resort marks another step in our effort to ensure that there is always a Wyndham hotel ideally positioned for every type of traveler,” he added.

Meanwhile, as part of its expansion strategy, the Wyndham Hotel Group is expected to open another two new hotels in Greece by 2018.
