The association’s new president is Andreas Mandrinos, chief executive officer of the Mandrino Hotel in Thessaloniki. He succeeds Aristotelis Thomopoulos. “The Thessaloniki Hotel Association will continue to support the local economy and contribute dynamically to the region’s development,” Mandrinos said in an announcement. “It owes it to its hoteliers, to the workers in the tourism sector, to its people and its guests.” Board of Directors President Andreas Mandrinos Vice President Konstantinos Tornivoukas Secretary General Sokratis Kirtsios Treasurer Dimitris Simiakos Trustee Kalliopi Arvanitidou Members Sofia Brova, Christos Kaliakatsos Established in 1914, the Thessaloniki Hotels Association is the oldest hotel association in Greece. The association’s key objectives are to study and promote the economic, social and professional interests of its members and also to promote Thessaloniki as a tourism destination through its collaboration with local and other authorities that play a key role in the development of tourism in the area.
