“By using cutting edge technology and tools and through smart actions that bring multiple benefits, we promote Greece as a global attractive year round destination to our targeted markets,” Kourneta underlined. “We make use of the available technology and use a combination of advertising tools to promote Greece’s distinctive tourism identity in a direct, targeted and effective way,” she added.

Kourneta also referred to the increase of tourism arrivals in 2015-2016 and the positive signs of 2017. She said the ministry planned to enhance innovation, support entrepreneurship and investments through the National Strategic Reference Framework – ESPA programs and promote the use of digital mediums in tourism education.

The conference was organized by Enterprise Greece, the Chania Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chania Hotels Association and the Cyber Security International Institute.
