Celestyal Cruises and the “ThinkBiz” Student Entrepreneurship Club, for a third year in a row are organizing the “CruiseInn” entrepreneurship competition, which will focus on tourism, wine and gastronomy and – for the first time – the maritime industry.

Scheduled to take place between June 23-29, during Celestyal’s “Panoramic Aegean” cruise onboard the “Celestyal Nefeli”, the competition will have a longer duration compared to previous years.

The 35 participants are students, graduates and young professionals between 18 and 30 years old, from the fields of information technology, design, tourism, shipping, food & beverages, finance and marketing. “They will have the opportunity to work on their ideas while at sea and visit unique destinations, including Santorini, Nafplio, Chania on Crete, Rhodes, Izmir and Çeşme in Turkey and Mykonos,” Celestyal Cruises said in an announcement.

The contestants will form seven groups and will be called to develop an innovative idea, based on the competition’s three subjects. During the process they will be advised by their “mentors”, who are people with a long term business experience. The three best groups selected will get the support of  the partners of “CruiseInn” in their business plans.

The winning group will receive a prize of 3,500 euros in cash, sponsored by Celestyal Cruises. The aim of the company is to support young entrepreneurs and urge Greek students develop innovative business initiatives, the announcement said.

ThinkBiz is the first Student Entrepreneurship Club in Greece, based at the Athens University of Economics and Business and aims to support the development of the Greek Startup Ecosystem.
