National Geographic Traveler Russia is recommending the Greek islands of Kos, Kalymnos, Nisyros and Patmos for the summer holidays in its June-August issue released this week.

The four-page feature story invites Russian travelers fed up with the weather to hit a Greek beach in one of the Dodecanese islands and refers to the latest direct route launched by low-cost carrier S7 to Kos, which allows easy access to the other isles of the cluster.

“All you have to do is choose the island closest to your needs,” reads the National Geographic Traveler Russia feature, which includes information on each island, local history as well as the variety of activities available for every taste including yachting, climbing and windsurfing.

The National Geographic Traveler Russia team visited Greece on a fam trip organized by the Greek Embassy in Moscow in collaboration with the South Aegean Region on occasion of S7’s Kos flight launch.

Meanwhile, other Russian media including high-circulation daily Izvestia also featured Greece in a series of travel related features.
