Greece ranked fifth in the “High end” category with five star “Palazzo Di P”, which is located on the island of Zakynthos in the Ionian sea. The awards are based on traveler reviews and opinions, as well as customer service provided during the booking process and include three categories: high-end, mid-range and affordable. A gleaming modern apartment in the heart of Manchester won the affordable category, which features homes starting from under $50 per person/night. The mid-range category winner, a design-led Paris apartment walking distance to the Eiffel tower, was described by one guest as “…welcoming, spacious, colorful, beautifully equipped, AND in a fabulously convenient location”. Villa La Ruga, a beautiful home perched on the edge of Lake Como, took the top spot in the high-end category. “Traveler reviews and opinions are at the heart of everything we do at TripAdvisor, and we rely on the traveler community to determine the winners of the Travelers’ Choice awards for Rentals,” said Dermot Halpin, president of TripAdvisor Attractions and Rentals. Other top rentals are located in Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, India, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Spain, Sri Lanka and the United States.
