Jointly organized by the City of Athens Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACVB) and the European Tour Operators Association (ETOA), the two-day event is the signature annual trade happening spotlighting the Greek capital and hosting selected international buyers interested in Athens and Greece. The annual event launched four years ago, has over the years brought together dozens of professionals in more than 9,500 meetings paving the way for synergies and deals. “The event has become a leading institution for the promotion of Athens’ tourist product,” said Athens Mayor Giorgos Kaminis, inviting all to register through to September 1. Discounts are offered to those signing up by July 15. “This annual meeting of tourism professionals, aimed at promoting the city Athens on the global tourism market, has been successfully running for four years, hosting up to now 9,500 meetings between international and Greek professionals and having fostered many new partnerships,” he said.
