The five-star hotel received the distinction based on the quality and the quantity of the travelers’ reviews submitted on TripAdvisor in the last 12 months. “We are proud of the ratings that Sofitel Athens Airport and the ‘Karavi’ restaurant once again received by TripAdvisor travelers,” the general manager of Sofitel Athens Airport George Stavrou said in an announcement. “There is no greater motive than the recognition of our customers. We will continue to adjust our services to the highest standards of accommodation and hospitality,” he added. To qualify for a Certificate of Excellence, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months. Five-star hotel Sofitel Athens Airport is located next to the Athens International Airport and the Athens suburban railway. It is fully soundproofed, with mountain views and an outdoor terrace. The “Karavi” gourmet dining restaurant. whose decoration is inspired by a “karavi” (ship), features an open kitchen, rôtisserie and creative French cuisine.
