The festival will take place at the Matsuhisa Athens restaurant, located at Astir Palace in the suburb of Vouliagmeni, south of the capital. Chef Nobu Matsuhisa is the founder of the “Nobu” restaurant chain, which stretches across five continents with over 40 locations. Born and raised in Saitama, Japan, the chef opened his first restaurant in Beverly Hills, California, in 1987. His signature dishes re-introduced Japanese cuisine in the western world and today his recipes are enjoyed by millions of diners worldwide. In Athens, the chef and his team will use local ingredients to create new dishes, which will be incorporated in the restaurant’s menu during the summer season. Guests will be able to experience a special “Omakase” menu paired with white and rose champagnes. The chef will be available to answer questions regarding Japanese cuisine and culinary traditions.
