Chef Nobu Matsuhisa As the person who initiated the festival, the acclaimed chef will be at the restaurant to welcome his guests and share his culinary secrets. Visitors will be able to taste new dishes based on his techniques and local ingredients, which will then be incorporated in the restaurant’s summer menu. Born and raised in Saitama, Japan, Nobu Masuhisa at a young age moved to Peru to open a sushi bar and developed his one-of-a-kind Nobu style cuisine. Over the course of a working career in both Peru and Argentina and further travelling throughout the region, Nobu introduced the concept of a “New Style Japanese cuisine”, incorporating elements of international cuisines. Today, his “Nobu” and “Matsuhisa” restaurants are spread across five continents. The Matsuhisa Mykonos opened its doors on 2003 and featured the special “Omakase” menu, inspired by the Japanese local tradition and prepared with carefully-selected local ingredients. A member of the Leading Hotels of World, the Belvedere hotel is located in the heart of Mykonos and provides guests with an exclusive luxury accommodation experience and a breathtaking view to the island’s town and the Aegean sea.
