Company updates Grace Santorini Unveils Photo Collection in ‘ARt by Grace’ App by GTP editing team 17 July 2017 written by GTP editing team 17 July 2017 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 15 © Yiorgos Kordakis Luxury boutique hotel Grace Santorini has launched a newly developed interactive application — ARt by Grace — that allows guests to experience hotel art in a new way. The hotel recently commissioned award winning photographer Yiorgos Kordakis to capture the undiscovered elements of Santorini in a collection of black and white photographs, available through its “ARt by Grace” app. As one of the world’s most photographed locations, Santorini has long been a favorite destination to professional and amateur photographers. Titled “Hephaestus & Calliste”, Kordakis’ photo collection provides a different view of the island, introducing an impressionistic “less is more” style, avoiding the cliché blue and white, to reveal Santorini’s raw beauty whilst leaving much to the imagination, the hotel said in an announcement. “It was my great personal challenge to see the island through different eyes, to rediscover what has already been discovered,” Kordakis stated. The photos are featured on Grace Santorini’s rooms and suites, located in Imerovigli, as part of the hotel’s renovation project, which was completed in May 2016. © Yiorgos Kordakis ARt by Grace: An interactive app The hotel now offers its guests the opportunity to interact with Kordakis’ photographs through the “ARt by Grace” app for mobile devices. The app includes an image recognition software, which scans the picture and provides access to a video, with information on the location depicted in the photo with a narration by Kordakis. Exclusively owned by Grace Santorini, the printed photo collection is included in a gift box, available to purchase at the hotel. The “ARt by Grace” app will be available with no charge until October 31, 2017. Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
