Blue Star Ferries, a member of Attica Group, on Friday announced its support to those affected by the earthquake of July 21 on the Greek island of Kos.

The passenger ferry company has announced a 50 percent discount on ferry tickets from and to the island for those that need to travel to visit their families and their property. The discount is valid for tickets of passengers and private vehicles for travel from July 21 until July 25.

“Blue Star Ferries once again is assisting with the problems faced by the Greek islands. Beyond its great symbolism, this substantial initiative once again shows that coastal shipping is a barometer for the development and to face extraordinary conditions on the Greek islands,” the company said in an announcement.

Travel from/to Kos via Kefalos Port

Travelers should note that until acess to the main port of Kos is reinstated, the passenger ferry ships Blue Star Paros, Blue Star 2 and Superfast XII will be making stops at the island’s Kefalos port.

Passengers can access the port of Kefalos by using the local KTEL buses. For information, passengers should call: 22420-22292.
