To be erected in the Exarchos area of the Central Greece region of Fthiotida, the Atalanti Hills project will include the creation of 3,306 bungalows, three resorts with a 2,990-bed capacity and 18-hole golf courses for each unit on 3,052 acres of land. Atalanti Hills will also include the establishment of an arts and culture village, shopping centers, restaurants, sports facilities (basketball, volleyball, tennis, football), conference centers, a hydro-therapy and beauty center, as well as an adventure space for children. The enterprise, which will create some 5,500 new jobs, has been delayed due to environmental concerns. Construction should begin following Council of State approval.
