Company updates Crete’s Nana Beach Hotel Sets ‘Green’ Example by GTP editing team 1 August 2017 written by GTP editing team 1 August 2017 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 11 The Nana Beach Hotel on the island of Crete is setting the good example participating this year in both “Clean Up the Med” and “Make Holidays Greener” campaigns as part of its awareness-raising efforts. Owned by the Karatzis Group, Nana Beach has made it a central point of its social policy to promote sustainable tourism development as well as encourage its visitors to think and act with ecological awareness during their holidays. As part of the Europe-wide “Clean Up the Med” campaign, young guests at the Heraklion-based Nana Beach recently had the chance — under the guidance of an animation team — to learn more about safeguarding the environment and then lend a helping hand in making the hotel’s beach — Drapanos — a better, cleaner place. The children also had the opportunity to participate in the annual “Make Holidays Greener” program — ABTA’s annual campaign in partnership with Travelife — that was held recently. The week-long activities at Nana Beach included cleaning Drapanos Beach and learning more about sustainable practices.
