The consortia participating in the tender are: TERNA S.A. – VINCI – SIEMENS AG “TVS” J+P AVAX SA – GHELLA SpA – ALSTOM TRANSPORT S.A. AKTOR – ANSALDO STP S.p.A -HITACHI RAIL ITALY SPA FCC – ARCHIRODON – MYTILINEOS The new line will connect the areas of Galatsi, northeast of Athens and Goudi, located southeast of the city center. The project’s budget is at 1.45 billion euros (VAT excluded) and is considered among the capital’s major infrastructure works. The management of Attiko Metro SA stressed the importance of the participation of Greek and foreign companies in the tender and said the new line will help improve the quality of life and upgrade the services offered by Athens’ metro.
