Thessaloniki According to an announcement, following the launch of connecting flights to Milan Bergamo in July, Ryanair customers in Thessaloniki can now book connecting flights on two new routes to/from Barcelona and Porto, transfer “airside” between connecting flights without having to go “landside”, have their checked-in baggage transferred through to their final destination and use one booking reference for both flights. The extended connecting flights service is the latest initiative delivered under Year 4 of Ryanair’s “Always Getting Better” programme, with more connections to be rolled out at other airports across the Ryanair network later this year. “Ryanair is pleased to extend our connecting flights service at Milan Bergamo Airport with another 25 routes added, including two new routes from Thessaloniki to/from from Barcelona and Porto, offering our customers even more low fare choice,” Ryanair’s Chief Commercial Officer, David O’Brien, said. The connecting flights service is available on 50 Milan Bergamo routes, as well as 10 routes via Rome Fiumicino Airport. Ryanair also sells 20 long haul Air Europa routes to North and South America. To celebrate the extended connecting flights service, Ryanair is releasing seats for sale for travel from Thessaloniki at very low fares for travel in September and October, which are available for booking until midnight Thursday, August 17.
