According to RIA Novosti, the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) announced in a statement that “as a result of correspondence between the aviation authorities in Russia and Greece, an agreement has been reached to increase the frequency of flights on the Moscow-Athens, Athens-Moscow routes to up to 35 flights per week for designated Russian and Greek carriers on a tentative basis until the next round of consultations”. According to the same statement, on Russia’s part two local airlines will be operating the additional 14 new flights to Athens.
