Event News Vote for Greece in UNWTO’s Tourism Video Competition by GTP editing team 5 September 2017 written by GTP editing team 5 September 2017 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 7 Images, colors and sounds of Greece’s four seasons are featured in a promotional video of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) titled “Greece – A 365-day Destination” that will compete in the 2nd Tourism Video Competition organized by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). The video aims to promote Greece as a year round destination, as part of the Tourism Ministry’s strategy to extend the tourism season. The competition will be held during UNWTO’s 22nd General Assembly, due to be held September 11-16 in Chengdu, China, and will award outstanding country promotional videos, recognizing the importance of multimedia in marketing tourism destinations. The winning countries of each one of UNWTO’s regions (Europe, Africa, America, Middle East, East Asia & the Pacific and South Asia) will be announced by a jury composed of the presidents of the organization’s six regional committees. Furthermore, the “People’s Choice Award” will be presented to the country that will receive the majority of the public’s votes. To vote for Greece’s participation press here. GNTO’s video, directed by Antonis Theocharis Koukas, will also compete in the tourism film festival to be held between September 13-16 in Zagreb, Croatia and in other festivals featuring tourism films in Berlin, Cannes, New York, Los Angeles and Maldives.
