Within the framework of the campaign, 22 two-sided metal stands have been placed in selected areas in Thessaloniki to attract the attention of the city’s visitors. These areas include the local KTEL intercity bus station, the port and recently the exhibition space of the 82nd Thessaloniki International Fair. The stands display a map of Central Macedonia on one side – also marking the visitor’s current position – and a short presentation of the site on the other. The campaign’s main objective is to present the unified tourism product of Central Macedonia, which includes monuments and numerous tourism, cultural and natural attractions located in just a short distance, this way enabling visitors to follow various theme routes in a short period of time.
