If approved, the company’s high speed Super Runner will operate the Rafina-Syros-Tinos-Mykonos route for the month of October. In the meantime, the Rafina-Syros route will operate throughout the year with the trip lasting less than two hours. Golden Star Ferries expressed its commitment to continue its Rafina-Syros service all year round during a meeting on Tuesday with Syros-Ermoupolis Mayor George Maragos. The decision is expected after the Coastal Transportation Council convenes this week at the shipping ministry. Maragos added that if both routes are approved then Syros will benefit greatly from being linked with the country’s second largest port as well as with neighboring islands.
