Paralia is a tourist seaside village and a former municipality in the eastern part of the Pieria regional unit. It is part of the Municipality of Katerini. The two-day event included B2B meetings held between the hosted Turkish travel agents and members of the Paralia Hotel Association. During the fam trip, the group of travel agents participated in a guided tour to experience the wider area and get ideas to form travel packages to Paralia and promote them accordingly to their partners and customers. The tour also included visits to the hotels that participated in the event. “It should be noted that the local gastronomy of the area proved to be one of the main pillars of the promotion of the destination in the Turkish travel market,” Respond on Demand said in an announcement. According to Respond on Demand, the Turkish travel agents expect Paralia to soon become an attractive holiday destination for many travelers from Turkey. “The Paralia Hotel Association is expected to launch similar targeted actions to promote the area in the near future,” Respond on Demand said.
