From “Skip-the-Line” tickets to the Eiffel Tower, shark diving in Cape Town or panoramic views from New York’s Empire State Building, the airline’s passengers can directly book over 30,000 tours and activities at more than 2,500 destinations around the globe using Messenger, the website KLM.com, the KLM app or the portal on board KLM flights: “By offering GetYourGuide tours and activities alongside other supplementary products, such as cars and hotels, we make it possible for our customers to arrange their entire journey through the KLM platform of their choice,” Air France – KLM senior vice president digital Pieter Groeneveld said. Reservations can be made as soon as customers have booked a flight or checked in, during their flight or at any other moment that suits them. “KLM is an undisputed leader in the airline industry in its commitment to digital innovation and we are excited to transform our customers’ trips into amazing experiences together,” said Tao Tao, COO of GetYourGuide. Most GetYourGuide tours and activities can be booked at less than 24 hours’ notice and offer paperless tickets: A simple QR code scan provides admission. Furhemore, GetYourGuide keeps mobile users on schedule with push notifications for their upcoming tours and activities. The new service will become available through various KLM channels over the coming days and weeks.
