Greece’s InSETE and Cornell University Partner in Tourism Studies

The SETE Institute (InSETE) has launched a partnership with US-based Cornell University in the field of vocational training for Greek tourism industry’s employees and professionals.

Through InSETE’s educational and vocational training pillar — SETE Training — members of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) will be able to access the online eCornell courses of the university’s Hotel Administration department at a privileged price.

“The courses are designed by Cornell University professors in order to address the needs of the current professional environment, giving tourism professionals access to the highest level of training,” InSETE said in an announcement.

Interested parties can choose one out of 148 available courses, among seven thematic categories:

– Hospitality and Foodservice Management Courses
– Financial Management Courses
– Human Resources Courses
– Sales Leadership Courses
– Project Leadership and Systems Design Course
– Leadership and Strategic Management Courses
– Marketing Courses

In order to provide easier access to these high-end training courses, 70 percent of the cost is covered by the Institute of SETE. The Cornell courses are offered at the price of $190 from $769.

Application process

The courses are exclusively for businesses – members of SETE applying for their employees. Individual tourism professionals that wish to register cover the cost themselves. All seminars are in English. Interested parties can apply here.

Businesses – SETE members can apply for their employees for up to two online programs per business. Individuals that cover the participation cost themselves can apply for one program.
