More specifically, nine MICE professionals visited Thessaloniki and had the opportunity to learn more on the city’s tourism offerings. “The Polish market was the first strategic choice of TCB for organizing this fam trip,” the Bureau said in an announcement. “Arrivals from Poland have significantly increased during the last four years, due to the country’s economic growth. As a result there’s been an increasing demand for MICE trips,” TCB said. The Polish MICE professionals were taken on a tour around the city, while they visited Thessaloniki’s available spaces and infrastructure, conference centers and hotels-members of TCB. They were also impressed by the area’s gastronomy, as they had the opportunity to taste local recipes made by acclaimed chefs. Furthermore, TCB organized a total of 250 B2B meetings, in order for its members to present their companies and learn more on the needs of the Polish market. A visit to Halkidiki concluded the first fam trip of Polish MICE professionals in the area and offered them insight into the rich offerings of the destination and the experiences the organizers offer to their guests. The familiarization trip was held with the support of AEGEAN, as the carrier’s sales manager in Poland Adam Marciniec had invited the MICE professionals in collaboration with TCB.
