The event was hosted by the airline’s general sales agent (GSA) in Greece, Discover the World Greece and Cyprus. Discover the World’s managing director, Dinos Frantzeskakis. Attended by Hainan Airlines Sales and Marketing Manager Oliver Lubich, the event included a presentation of the airline’s history, latest news regarding its fleet and route network and latest awards. The airline in June was named one of the top ten airlines by SKYTRAX, a specialist advisor to the air transport industry. A special mention was also made to the Fortune Wings Club, the airline’s global loyalty and rewards program. Travelers can earn points by flying with Hainan Airlines and other carriers including Hong Kong Airlines, Grand China Air, Lucky Air, Tianjin Airlines, Capital Airlines and Fuzhou Airlines. The event was attended by guests from trade media and the President of the Hellenic Chinese Chamber in Athens, Konstantinos Giannidis. A small prize draw for a model Hainan Airlines airplane followed the presentation. The prize was won by Anna Fougala from Gelasakis Travel.
