According to AIA, the rise was the result of a growth in both domestic and international markets, which recorded an increase of 18.5 percent and 14 percent respectively. Overall, during the January-October period, the airport’s passenger traffic reached 18.9 million, which is up by 8.8 percent compared to the same period in 2016. According to AIA, the rise was attributed to the strong increase of international arrivals by 11.8 percent and domestic arrivals by 3.5 percent.
