Event News Philoxenia Hosted Buyers to Taste Thessaloniki’s Flavors Through ‘Thessbrunch’ by GTP editing team 9 November 2017 written by GTP editing team 9 November 2017 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 20 The 120 hosted buyers from 34 countries that are taking part in the 33rd International Tourism Exhibition “Philoxenia” in Thessaloniki will have the chance to sample the city’s gastronomy through the popular “Thessbrunch” initiative. Philoxenia will run November 10-12 at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center. “Thessbrunch” (meaning “want brunch” in Greek) is an initiative of the Thessaloniki Hotels Association with member hotels across the northern port city serving brunch over the weekends. Through the initiative, which highlights the special flavors of the city’s hotels, the association aspires to make Thessaloniki known abroad as the “Gastronomic Capital of Greece”. The “Thessbrunch” event will be held will be held exclusively for the hosted buyers participating in this year’s Philoxenia on Saturday, November 11, in the mezzanine of Hall 15. Through the event, the Thessaloniki Hotels Association is aiming to promote the destination to the professionals of the international tourism industry through the culinary creations of the city’s hotels. The chefs and staff of the Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki and Porto Palace will supervise the menu. The event will be held with the support of the Thessaloniki Food Festival of the Municipality of Thessaloniki. ‘Thessbrunch’ at the Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki. Meanwhile, “Thessbrunch” continues throughout the fall with events and happenings as well as music served with brunch. Participants will also have a chance to win free tickets to museums and arts spaces around town. The Colors Urban hotel will be serving brunch on November 19 and the Mandrino hotel on the 26th.
