Company updates Creta Maris Renews ‘We Do Local’ Certification by GTP editing team 22 November 2017 written by GTP editing team 22 November 2017 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 20 The Creta Maris Beach Resort on Crete, for the fourth consecutive year has received the “We Do Local” certification for its continuous efforts to promote the local hospitality, culture and gastronomy. “This year we gathered and submitted with pride all our records and files, which prove our support and love for Crete, thus we are more than happy to receive once again the ‘We do local’ certification,” said Nikos Vlassiadis, the general manager of the Creta Maris Beach Resort. Following an evaluation process carried out by the inspection and certification control body Cosmocert, the resort managed to collect 930/1000 points in total, and “to be distinguished for all the commendable activities undertaken, including the promotion of Greek hospitality, the local culture and gastronomy to its guests; the support of local producers and the economy; its contribution to the protection of the environment and sustainable development,” an announcement by the hotel’s management said. “We do local” is an initiative launched by the Local Production and Hospitality SA (promotional services), Cosmocert SA (certification services) and Local Food Experts sce (integrated development services). It aims to enhance the national tourist product, promote Greek hospitality and support the local production and economy. Creta Maris Beach Resort The Creta Maris Beach Resort is located in Hersonissos on the island of Crete. It is part of the Metaxas’ Group of Companies and has been operating since 1975. It includes 680 rooms, suites and bungalows, six restaurants, seven bars, seven swimming pools, a gym, a hammam spa, the Asterias Children’s Club and spacious facilities for outdoor and indoor activities.
