Photo © kostasgr / Shutterstock Cyprus-based TUS Airways on Friday announced new direct flights from Larnaca to Ioannina, the capital of Epirus. Flights will operate two times per week, every Monday and Friday, from February 16. The announcement follows an agreement reached between the Governor of the Epirus Region, Alexandros Kahrimanis and the Mayor of Ioannina, Thomas Peggas, with TUS Airways. The flights to and from Ioannina will be operated by the Fokker 70 jet that was just recently added to TUS’ growing fleet. The new addition is part of TUS Airways’ new airline model “Τhe Ultimate Schedule”, which aims to connect Cyprus with countries in the Eastern Mediterranean and Europe via frequent flights, offering comfort, convenience and competitive pricing, as well as best service on board. “TUS Airways is offering a new airline model in the region, boasting the most flexible schedule with convenient departure times for every passenger,” the airline said in an announcement. The airline, in addition to its flights from Cypriot airports to the Greek islands and Israel, recently launched flights from Larnaca to Athens and Rome.
