The new logo drew the participants’ attention “with its charming clarity inspired by the cultural elements and shapes, the colors of the sea and the light, which characterize Attica,” the Region of Attica said in an announcement. Furthermore, thousands of attendees visited the Region’s stand. “This year’s participation was important for the Region of Attica… In addition to the aesthetic excellence of our stand and the particularly positive feedback we received regarding the new tourism logo, Attica was presented as a distinctive tourism destination to representatives of the international tourism market,” said Eleni Dimopoulou executive regional councilor for tourism. The executives of the tourism department of the Region of Attica met with tourism professionals and journalists from England, USA, Germany, Russia, Poland, Hungary, Denmark, Norway, Turkey, Belgium, Sweden and the Netherlands. Dimopoulou also referred to the organization’s excellent cooperation with the municipalities of Hydra, Poros and Saronic and the Athens International Airport, “which actively supported the operation of the stand of the Region of Attica by showcasing the tourism destinations and available infrastructure all around Attica”.
