In an announcement to its partner travel agents, Aegean said that a five-euro charge will apply for each fare component for bookings made through the two global distribution systems (GDSs), Amadeus and Travelport (Apollo, Galileo and Worldspan). “The DCF of 5 euros will apply per fare component on all routes where Aegean has the role of a Marketing or Operating Carrier and will be charged once regardless if the fare component includes one or more segments. It will be collected as Q surcharge while it will appear in the fare calculation line,” Aegean said. The new DCF fee will also apply to all categories of fares and cabins on tickets issued from January 10, 2018 and onwards.
