Easily accessible from Athens and the ideal choice for travelers on a budget, the Karystion Hotel located on Evia island is undergoing renovations while ready to usher in 2018.

Located in the seaside town of Karystos in southern Evia, the Karystion has gone from being the first contemporary hotel to be built in the 1960s to one of the best accommodation service providers on the island, constantly upgrading its offerings.

Following its renovation during the 1990s and gradual restoration since then, the hotel’s management last year began a 5-year refurbishment plan.

The Karystion's new 2017 room was a sea view suite.

Among the hotel’s most recent additions was the opening of its new suite-style room, which won over the crowds in July, August and September. According to the hotel’s management, the new suite helped boost bookings for October to 60 percent.

Meanwhile, visitor reviews increased focusing on the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and the fine food.

The Karystion Hotel offers great sea views, tranquility and comfort as well as easy access – no car needed – to the beach, port and shops. Hotel management, meanwhile, places emphasis on customer satisfaction through its well-trained and willing staff, top-notch services and quality products.

In the meantime, besides its staff, the Karystion has been lauded for its breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings prepared with the freshest products, including dished from the Mediterranean cuisine and homemade puddings.
