The sea activities one can enjoy while vacationing on the islands of the Cyclades and the Dodecanese in the South Aegean will be presented to the world at the upcoming boot Düsseldorf 2018 fair in Germany.

The world’s largest indoor exhibition of boats, yachts and water sports, boot Düsseldorf is the international meeting point for decision makers in the industry and will run between January 22 and 28 at the Düsseldorf exhibition center.

The Region of South Aegean announced that it will take part part for the first time in the boot Düsseldorf fair, within the framework of a series of promotional actions to highlight the special experiences offered by the Greek islands.

The stand of the Region of South Aegean will be located in the fair’s diving section. Tourism professionals from Rhodes, Kalymnos, Leros, Paros, Antiparos, Amorgos, Kea, Syros and Tinos will be at the Greek stand to promote each island’s sea tourism offerings.

“The boot expo is the place to showcase the great range of sea sports and activities that can be found in the South Aegean, such as diving and to attract an audience that have specialized interests,” Papavasiliou said.

In its 49th year, the trade fair last year attracted a total of 242,000 visitors from 70 countries. More than 1,800 exhibitors from 70 different countries presented their products and services to an international audience of water sports enthusiasts at boot 2017.
