Aiming to introduce its visitors to the “secrets” of the Peloponnese during all seasons of the year, the four-star Kalamaki Beach Hotel, located in Isthmia, continues to operate year-round while implementing environmental practices and activities.

Within the framework of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, the resort recently proceeded with the cleaning of the Paleo Kalamaki area. More than 150 participants embraced the initiative and collected glass and plastic bottles, aluminum cans, packs of cigarettes, paper, lids and other materials.

“The initiative aimed at promoting eco-consciousness, especially among children,” the hotel said in an announcement adding that “the enthusiastic participation surpassed our expectations, as local authorities and associations responded to the invitation”.

Owner and general manager of the Kalamaki Beach Hotel, Marilena Stathopoulou, expressed her gratitude and promised this first environmental action to be the beginning of a series of actions and initiatives, which will be carried out in cooperation with even more regional bodies and institutions.

Deputy Mayor of Loutraki – Perachora and Agioi Theodoroi Sotiris Perras also attended the event, while Greek detergent manufacturer Rolco Vianil supported the initiative by distributing eco-friendly products.

The Kalamaki Beach Hotel is located one hour north-west of Athens, near renowned archaeological sites of the Peloponnese such as the Corinth Isthmus, the theater of Epidaurus, Mycenae and Nafplio.

The hotel complex includes an organized beach, two swimming pools, sports facilities (four tennis courts, a volleyball court, a fitness room, a billiard table among others) and a playground for children.

The Kalamaki Beach Hotel is part of the Tourhotel Group, which features hotels ArionAchilleas and Acropolis Hill in the center of Athens.
