Event News Swiss Education Group Holds Workshops for ‘Tomorrow’s Hospitality Leaders’ by GTP editing team 10 January 2018 written by GTP editing team 10 January 2018 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 8 The Swiss Education Group (SEG), a leading network of hospitality management schools in Switzerland, on February 15 and 16, will hold a series of workshops, free of charge, under the title “Tomorrow’s Hospitality Leaders” at the Electra Metropolis Hotel in Athens. The worκshops are addressed to lyceum and postgraduate students and are part of a series of educational seminars, organized by SEG in many countries around the world, with the aim to bring hospitality and tourism senior executives in touch with future hospitality management professionals. According to an announcement, top professionals from Greece’s tourism industry will participate in the event. Among them are Tarek Kouatly, SEG regional manager Europe; Evgenios Savva, SEG executive hospitality consultant Cyprus and Malta and Alexandros Cholevas, marketing manager of Black Sea Voyages, Athens. Various issues will be discussed during the workshops, “with the aim to offer a hands-on constructive experience to the speakers and the audience”. Furthermore, the participants will have the chance to explore and better understand the challenges and the opportunities of the hospitality makret, through their participation in a number of projects. More specifically, lyceum students will form groups of 4-5 persons and will be called to present a case study on a specific issue, under the guidance of prominent hotel managers. Following the same procedure, postgraduate students will be called to create and present a business plan on a new hospitality concept. The winning teams will get free tickets to Switzerland to participate in the “Open Days” organized by SEG. Furthermore, the participants will have the opportunity to speak and network with senior executives of the hospitality sector during the cocktail parties, which will be held after each workshop.
