According to FlightStats’ monthly report, in December Volotea conducted 3,200 flights, while the carrier’s on-time arrival performance rate reached 80 percent. Part of FlightGlobal, FlightStats is the leading data service provider of real-time global flight data to companies and individuals focused on commercial aviation. “The punctuality rates of Volotea show the professionalism and our teams’ efficient performance and commitment to offer a nice flight experience to our passengers, always at very competitive rates,” Volotea founder and CEO Carlos Muñoz said in an announcement. Volotea is one of the airlines with the lowest cancellation rates in the world. The airline’s regularity rate reached 99.9 percent last year. Out of the 44,500 flights operated in 2017, only 49 were cancelled. The airline in 2017 enjoyed a significant increase in its operations and in the number of carried passengers, being one of the fastest growing large low-cost carriers in the European Union. It is also among the ten airlines in the world, which launched more number of routes in 2017. For a second consecutive year, Volotea has reached a client recommendation rate of 90 percent. For the current year Volotea has opened 58 new routes to serve a lineup of 293 routes, operating flights to 78 mid and small-sized European cities in 13 countries.
